As a native Atlantan and second-generation homebuilder, Steve Powell founded his company in early 2000. Having been around home building and land development his whole life, this was a natural fit.

Steve Powell Homes is unique because Steve is involved in every aspect of the homebuilding process. Due to his innate enjoyment of this field, you will often find him grading his own lots or perfecting an elevation with the framer. This hands-on approach assures the customer their home is built to the highest standard.

Along with providing quality construction, our company is also dedicated to building relationships of trust and integrity with their homeowners. Steve also lives in the Crabapple area and is therefore concerned and committed to preserving the community’s roots and architecture. He feels Crabapple is a great place to raise a family and that’s why he chose to build his home here for his wife and two children. Aside from building and spending time with his family, he enjoys vacationing at the beach, golfing, fishing and working on their family farm.
